3rd Annual Gary Hart Memorial IJSBA JETTRIBE Lake Havasu Open

As you are probably well aware, the 2017 Havasu Boat Show hits town this weekend.  It's a good time for a great deal on a new boat, Day Cruiser or personal watercraft if you're in the market.  One of the fun events taking place during the boat show is the Jettribe Lake Havasu Watercross Open.  Dozens of racers converge on our lake for two days of serious water-related competition.  And you can watch!

  • When: April 8th - 9am to 6pm & April 9th - 9am to 5pm
  • Admission: $5/person, Kids 6 & under are FREE (included in boat show entry)

 

Come watch the racers compete in 16 different classes of personal watercraft at the Jettribe Lake Havasu Watercross Open.  Pro athletes race around the multi-turn, closed course race track on the water.  Practice begins at 9am on Saturday.  Qualifying happens from 10am to 1pm, with freestyle taking place at 1pm.  Finals for the day are scheduled from 1:45pm to 5pm.

On Sunday, the fun continues.  Practice takes place from 8:30am to 10am, with qualifying following directly after from 10am to 1pm.  Freestyle takes over from 1pm to 1:45pm.  Then, finals happen from 1:45pm until everyone is finished.  Awards will be handed out at 5pm on Sunday.

Entry to watch the Jettribe Lake Havasu Watercross Open 2017 is included in the price of admission for the Havasu Boat Show.  Tickets run just $5 per person.  All kids ages six and under get in for FREE.

If you or your kids want to take a break from the action, walk around the boat show.  Don't forget to bring any life jackets that your family has outgrown on Saturday for the life jacket swap.  Supplies are limited.  So get there early.  Also, there's a chili contest on Saturday.  With so much to do, the only problem will be what do you do first?
