Lake Havasu Area Chamber of Commerce Hosts 33rd Annual Winterfest
They've got tsunami warnings in Alaska, snow in Georgia, a bomb cyclone back east, and are in the negative numbers in the midwest. Winters in Lake Havasu City mean temperatures stay in the upper-60s/low-70s. That's why snowbirds are so popular this time of year. To celebrate how great this time of year is, the Lake Havasu City is hosting Lake Havasu Winterfest 2018 along McCulloch Blvd next month.
- What: Lake Havasu Winterfest 2018
- Where: Downtown Havasu (Upper McCulloch Blvd) - Maps & Directions
- When: February 10th & 11th, 10 am to 5 pm
- Admission: FREE
During the two-day Lake Havasu Winterfest event, McCulloch Blvd will be shut down to normal automobile traffic. This allows everyone to visit each of the 400+ vendor booths set up along the road without worrying about their safety. You can grab a vintage sign for your garage, shop for a sand buggy, and purchase beautiful handcrafted jewelry, clothing, and artwork from the talented artists who created them. But that's not all!
Some of the kids' activities planned for winterfest include pony rides, rock climbing, and bounce houses among others. Then, there's the live entertainment taking place on the main stage all day long. And when you get hungry, pick up some mouth-watering barbecue, wash it down with a tall glass of lemonade, and splurge on some shaved ice or kettle corn for dessert. For the adults, a visit to the beer garden may be in order.
Free parking for Lake Havasu Winterfest is available all along Mesquite and Swanson. It's first come/first served. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes. That's because you'll be doing a lot of walking so you don't miss out on any of the fun. In fact, you might want to come back both days just so you can experience everything Winterfest has to offer.
