National Bass West Open in Lake Havasu

Do you like to fish?  Did you know that our own Lake Havasu is teeming with catfish, sunfish, carp and crappie?  It is also known for its large mouth, small mouth and striped bass.  If you like a little competition with your fishing, you may want to sign up for the 2016 Havasu National Bass West Open on May 7th.

The 2016 Havasu National Bass West Open will be the last 2016 Havasu National Bass West Open for the season.

Since October 2015, teams have been competing for the title of National Bass West's Angler of the Year.  This will be the eighth and final chance for teams to accumulate points towards the title.  You don't have to be competing for the title to participate, though.  Everyone is welcome.  Teams will receive a nice hearty breakfast before they head out and a barbecue feast at weigh-in.

Teams involved in the 2016 Havasu National Bass West Open can be co-ed or not. There is no age minimum. However, at least one member of each team has to be 18 years or older at the time of the competition.  All members of your team also need to be National Bass West members in good standing.  You can sign up for membership at the same time you register.  Just enclose your membership fee ($35 per person, $20 for each additional family member) as well as your registration fee.  You can register at Angler's Pro Shop located at 362 London Bridge Rd at any time between now and event day.  Are you a procrastinator?  Angler's will be open at 4:30am on May 7th to take the last minute stragglers.

 

 

There may be a fee to participate in the 2016 Havasu National Bass West Open, but spectators can watch for free. Come out and cheer on your favorite team to victory.
