More than 300 days of sunshine a year affords Havasu many opportunities to enjoy what the lake has to offer.
Swimming, boating, jet-skiing and parasailing happen well into the autumn months here. That may be why organizations like the IJSBA choose our little town for things like the 2016 Lake Havasu Quakysense World Finals.

2016 Lake Havasu Quakysense World Finals
More than 750 of the best racers from around the world get invited to compete in the Lake Havasu Quakysense World Finals. Watch the cream of the crop work their way through obstacles and timed trials. One highlight of the nine day event includes the Parade of Nations on Tuesday, October 4th. All participants wind their way through the Bridgewater Channel displaying the flags of their nations on their watercraft. You'll be surprised how far these guys come to compete for this championship.
Registration takes over the first couple of days of the 2016 Lake Havasu Quakysense World Finals. Practice sessions will be held on October 3rd and 4th. Novice and amateur racing starts on Thursday, October 5th, with the Amateur/Expert racers competing on the 5th, Amateur/Expert/Pro-Am on the 6th and final Amateur/Expert/Pro-Am on the 7th. Winners accept their trophies at the end of the day's racing on Friday, October 7th.
If you don't have a chance to watch the other racing, you absolutely MUST watch the Pro Freestyle Expo on Saturday, October 8th.
Spectators line up all along the Channel to see the best of the best show off their skills. Since this tends to be the most popular day, you definitely want to get there early to scout the best place to observe the racing.
Dozens of vendors will be ready for your business at the campgrounds each day. When you get thirsty, pick up a drink at one of the beer stands. Food vendors also offer non-alcoholic drinks as an option.
Bring the family to the lake. Watch some amazing competition. Have a great time. That's what the Lake Havasu lifestyle is all about!
