7th Annual Desert Bash & Off-Road Poker Run in Lake Havasu City
Who needs the hassle of traveling hundreds of miles away to enjoy your vacation when you've got over a million acres of desert land to play in right in your own backyard? The Lake Havasu Chamber of Commerce hosts their 2018 Lake Havasu Desert Bash Off Road Poker Run the last weekend of November - just three miles from SARA Park. They promise three days of camping, off roading, food, family, and fun!

Check-in for the 2018 Lake Havasu Desert Bash Poker Run takes place at 10 am on Friday, November 30th. If you're coming with a group of friends, meet up ahead of time somewhere in Lake Havasu City (SARA Park would be a good place). Then, head over to the poker run main area together. Once you're at the site, there's nowhere for you to pull over and wait for your buddies. Campers get lined up first come/first served. Therefore, if you're not together when you arrive, you won't be placed near each other at the campsite.
The beer garden and vendor row open up at noon on Friday and Saturday. All drivers must attend a mandatory driver's meeting on Friday night at 6 pm. Beginning at 8 am, participants head out for the poker run. Anyone not racing around trying to make their best poker hand in the desert is welcome to try out the Polaris Experience back at camp. All poker runners need to check in to Checkpoint 5 by 4 pm in order to ensure delivery of official poker hand back at camp by the 4:30 pm cutoff. Don't miss your chance at great prizes by missing cutoff! Awards will be handed out later at Saturday dinner. Camp breaks by 2 pm on Sunday. Make sure you take out whatever you brought in with you at check-in.
The cost of joining the 2018 Lake Havasu Desert Bash Poker Run is $75 per person. With your entry fee, you receive a pass for one vehicle, one poker hand, dinner on Saturday, and a raffle ticket. Additional poker hands can be purchased for $15 each. Purchase additional ham or turkey dinner boxes for Saturday evening for $15 each on the Eventbrite website.
Instead of trekking in every single day, set up your gear and camp all weekend long with your buddies. For $50, reserve your own 25' x 40' campsite for the entire three days. Campsites will only be available at the Eventbrite website for the 2018 Lake Havasu Desert Bash Poker Run. Sites fill up quickly. So you'll need to make your reservation as soon as possible.
