4th Annual Lake Havasu Legends ot Route 66 Returns to Windsor 4

Legends of Route 66

Did you know that more than 39,000 homeless vets live on the street across the United States? More than half of them have a mental or physical disability. That's a shame, especially for a rich country like ours. Veterans United makes it their mission to find a home for every vet. They're hosting their 2018 Lake Havasu Legends of Route 66 next weekend.

The profits from this event will go towards helping homeless vets throughout Mohave County.

There's so much to see and do at the Lake Havasu Legends of Route 66 event. Enjoy live music from several acts all day long. Visit the food court for something to snack on. Grab a beer in the beer garden. Then, scout a spot to watch the musicians. Set up your lawn chair (it's strictly BYOC: bring your own chair). Sit back and relax.

Now, you can't just sit down all day. That's not how we do things here in Havasu. When you need to stretch your legs, visit the vendors. Go see the car show. Take one of the tethered balloon rides (weather permitting). Try your hand at one of the games set up on-site. There's even a poker run scheduled. Buy a raffle ticket for your chance at one of dozens of prizes being given away all day long.

No outside food, drinks or ice chests will be allowed at the 2018 Lake Havasu Legends of Route 66 event. Remember: all profits benefit homeless vets in Mohave County. So, you're going to want to purchase these from the vendors there anyway. Bring cash. Some vendors might not accept cards. Help get our homeless vets off the streets and on their feet again. They've sacrificed so much for us. It's the least we can do for them.
