4th of July Festivities in Lake Havasu for 2021
In less than two weeks, we celebrate our nation's 245th birthday. Per usual, we expect to see thousands of people descending upon Lake Havasu City to celebrate. Grab the sunscreen and your loved ones. This July 4th weekend is going to be tons of fun in the sun at Lake Havasu.
4th Annual Rockin' the Docks Summer Concert
Rockin' the Docks is back in full effect with the Littletown Band performing their brand of country music over the water. Havasu Landing Resort sets up a special stage on their dock specifically for this talented bunch of musicians. They play from 6 pm to 10 pm on Saturday, July 3rd. Havasu Landing hosts this summer concert for free to the public. Watch by land at the resort. Just make sure you bring blankets and/or lawn chairs so you can enjoy yourself in comfort. The resort sells beer (for the adults) and water (for everyone) on-site. But you may bring snacks and non-alcoholic beverages with you.
But if you are anything like me and my family, you will probably be spending the day out on the lake. So, if you do not wish to bring your boat in early, pull up near the dock and drop anchor before the 6 pm start time. Make sure you watch out for the designated swim areas. Floats and inflatable tubes are also welcome. Plus, immersing yourself in the water may be one of the best ways to stay cool in the triple-digit temperatures while listening to the concert.
July 4th Fireworks Over the Lake
The day after Rockin' the Docks is July 4th. That means fireworks over the lake! After the sun sets, settle in for a treat for the eyes over Lake Havasu. The best vantage points for watching the fireworks show are from Rotary Park, Nautical Beachfront Resort, London Bridge Beach, and Thompson Bay. In fact, many people enjoy watching the fireworks spark overhead while onboard their boats. But beware that the lake gets crowded this time of year. So, make sure you allow plenty of time to pull your boat off the lake at the boat ramps. And be courteous to others while doing so.
Happy Birthday, America!
