16th Annual Bluegrass on The Beach Returns to Lake Havasu for 2018
Bluegrass music has its roots firmly planted in American soil. But, it was created by combining traditional sounds of Irish, Scottish, and English immigrants. Born and bred in the Appalachian mountains, bluegrass evolved adding a bit of jazz into the mix. Its popularity has grown over the past several years which is why the Lake Havasu Bluegrass on the Beach Festival comes to our shores next month.

One thing that makes bluegrass music unique is its openness to embracing influences from various cultures. So, don't be surprised if a jam session suddenly breaks out somewhere in the park at any time throughout the three-day Lake Havasu Bluegrass on the Beach Festival. That includes live performances on the stage. If you play an instrument, bring it with you. At some point, you might be asked to join in.
But don't worry. You don't have to be a musician to enjoy the music. Bluegrass favorites like the Blue Js, The Gibson Brothers, the Tennessee Mafia Jug Band, and Wayne Taylor & Appaloosa play live for all those gathered at the park. But that's only four of the 10 bands scheduled.
In addition to the live music, there will be workshops, arts and crafts, food and beer vendors, and, of course, a kids zone.
Tickets can be purchased individually for $20 per adult for Friday or Sunday. Saturday's tickets run $25 per adult. But, if you plan on going all three days, you can purchase a three-day pass for $90 pre-purchase. If you wait until last minute, you pay $95 for a three-day pass. Tickets for kids ages 13 to 17 cost $10 per day no matter which day you attend. All children under the age of 13 get in absolutely free of charge. Purchase your tickets early online.
