The Desert Storm Poker Run begins with a street party along McCulloch Blvd on Thursday. (Maps and Direction) All motorized traffic will be shut down between Capri Blvd and Acoma from 12pm to 9:30pm. Come see the boats participating in the poker run up close. They'll be displayed all along the boulevard for the party.

Beginning at 10am on Friday, Desert Storm Poker Run show off their rides in the Parade of Power through Bridgewater Channel. (Maps and Directions) Spectators line up all around the channel for a glimpse at these marine beauties. Then, at 11am, the Desert Storm Poker Run begins. The best seats in the house will be on your own boat. Just make sure you find a spot off the main lake path and anchor down by 10:45am so you don't miss one thrilling moment.

Once you've seen your favorites off on their run, head over to Lake Havasu State Park Windsor 4 for Day 1 of the Power in the Park Festival. From 10am to 5pm, visit the swap meet, see the car show or watch the Big O Burnout competition. Live entertainment and dozens of vendors keep the public occupied while the poker run takes place on the lake.
Saturday is the Desert Storm Shootout. Starting at 9am, boats race a two mile course beginning at the Site Six Launch Ramp. The winner of the Shootout gets to claim their status as the King of the Desert. While the shootout takes place, Day 2 of the Power in the Park Festival continues. More live entertainment, car shows, expos and vendors keep you from getting bored.

The Party in the Park Festival as well as watching the Desert Storm Poker Run comes absolutely free of charge to the public. However, if you want to be in the middle of all the action, you must pay. Until April 24th, registration runs $450. After that, you'll pay $500. With your registration fee, you receive poker hands, T-shirts, admission to the registration party, an aerial boat photo, entry into prize drawings and seats at the awards banquet for two people. The shootout costs an extra $100. You can download a registration form by visiting: www.lakeracer.com/info/DS_2017_Registration_Forms.pdf. Good luck and have fun!
