Life Jacket Exchange to be Setup Under The London Bridge at the Community Stage
Memorial Day weekend starts in a couple of weeks. But before you and your family spend it out on the lake, you might want to take a look at the condition (and sizes) of your life jackets. If they are either outdated or too small for the people you plan to spend time with on your boat this summer, you might want to go to the Lake Havasu Life Jacket Exchange.
- What: Lake Havasu Life Jacket Exchange 2022
- Where: London Bridge Beach Community Stage - Maps & Directions
- When: Saturday, May 21st, 10 am to 12 pm
Every year in May, our local Sheriff's office partners up with the Arizona Game and Fish Department to help keep everyone safe out on the water. The exchange costs you nothing. All you need to do is to come to the Community Stage at London Bridge Beach anytime between 10 am and 12 pm on May 21st. Bring your old life jacket with you and exchange it for a new, better-fitting one. They do not accept the old orange Type II jackets. Any other ones will do just fine.
State law requires that every watercraft include one appropriately-sized life jacket for each person aboard, even if they do not wear it. all the time However, any person aged 12 or under must always wear a life jacket when riding in/on a watercraft.
US Coast Guard-approved jackets will be made available for the Lake Havasu Life Jacket Exchange while supplies last. In other words, get there early to beat the crowds and ensure your free exchange. The later you come, the more likely they are to run out. And you will not find any better deal than "free" for updating your life jackets.
