The thousands of acres of desert sand surrounding our fair city provide endless hours of play time for desert dawgs. The water offers fun above, on and below the lake's surface.  Then, RV's make getting away from it all by getting back to nature just that much easier.

The 5th Annual Lake Havasu Sand, Water and RV Expo 2016 starts off with a "show and shine" on Saturday from 9am to 5pm.  However, unlike the usual automobiles lining up for viewing, visitors to this show and shine will see classic boats instead.  The Fab 50 Classic Hot Boat Show & Shine features vintage '50s, '60s and '70s-era speedboats lovingly restored to their former glory.  You won't get an opportunity to see these anywhere else.

5th Annual Sand, Water & RV Expo

Saturday festivities continue into the night with the Expo Rock-It Party.  From 5pm to 8:30pm, guests enjoy a live band playing classic rock hits.  A beer garden/cocktails for the adults, non-alcoholic beverages for the kids and food for everyone will be available for purchase.  It's strictly BYOB here (Bring Your Own Blanket...or Chair).  Find a spot, get comfortable and enjoy the evening with friends and family.  Admission is free.

 

 

On Sunday, the Lake Havasu Sand, Water and RV Expo 2016 continues the fun with a cornhole tournament.  All ages are welcome.  Competition will be broken up into singles and doubles/teams, with various age categories in each: adults (men & women ages 16 to 54), seniors (men & women ages 55+) and juniors (boys & girls ages 15 and under).  Single adults pay $10 each.  Those working as a pair or team pay $15 per team.  Juniors only pay $5 whether competing individually or as part of a doubles/team.  To register ahead of time, visit the Expo's cornhole tournament website at http://www.sandandwaterexpo.com/cornhole-tournament-application.html.   You can also register on-site between 11am and 1pm on the day of the event.

Demo boat rides will be available to all guests at the Lake Havasu Sand, Water and RV Expo 2016 on both Saturday and Sunday.  Vendors will be set up with the latest and greatest in boats, RVs, ATVs, 4x4s, buggies, kayaks, paddleboats, toy haulers, travel trailers, pontoons, dirt bikes, golf carts and more.  Try out one of the watercraft on the lake before you buy.  Just tell the vendor you want a demo ride!
