Tri-State BikeFest 2016 Roars Through Lake Havasu
Don't be surprised when you hear the roar of hundreds of motorcycle engines in Lake Havasu City this weekend. That's because the Lake Havasu Tri-State BikeFest 2016 is coming to town on Saturday. You don't have to own a bike to be a part of the festivities, either.
Beginning at 9am on Saturday, March 26th, the Lake Havasu Tri-State BikeFest 2016 takes over Lot 4 at Lake Havasu State Park. Hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the Southwest will descend upon our little Havasu haven. The BikeFest includes an all day bike show. There will be trophies handed out for Best Cruiser, Best Bagger, Best Paint, Best Chopper, Best Bobber, the Longest Traveled and Hardship. Take a walk around to see who the competition is for yourself.
Swillers & Little Town are scheduled to perform from 12pm to 6pm. If you love country and classic rock, you're going to love them! Food vendors and a beer garden will be set up to keep you fueled up for the day. All proceeds from the beer garden itself will be donated to the Western Arizona Humane Society. If you wish to imbibe in an alcoholic drink, you are going to need to be at least 21 years old with a valid Photo ID. Otherwise, you may be refused service. Please remember to drink responsibly for your sake and for the sake of those around you.
Part of the Lake Havasu Tri-State BikeFest 2016 festivities include a Poker Run. The stops along the run include Bad Dogs Bar and the Flying X Saloon right here in Havasu, Texaco 95 in Fort Mohave, Desert Thunder Victory Motorsports in Kingman and a Topock destination that will be announced on the day of the run. At each stop, you will be able to cool off, fuel up and pick up another card for your poker hand. There will be cash prizes awarded to the top two hands at the end of the run ($3000 for 1st, $1000 for 2nd) and a $500 cash prize for the lowest hand.
Registration for the Poker Run is $75 per rider. You can have a passenger accompany you for $25. Their registration fee also entitles them to play a hand of poker. Is one hand just not enough? You can get an extra hand for $20. The prize pool for passengers pays $500 cash for 1st prize and $200 cash for the lowest hand.
