The first two days of Winter Blast 2019 have been reserved for the pyro pros to settle in and prepare for the big public shows taking place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. Gates open up to the public as early as 4 pm on those days. Organizers strongly suggest that you get there early to find a good spot to park (first come/first served). Parking for cars, trucks, and motorcycles costs just $5 per day. No RVs allowed. Those spots are already sold out for this year's event. No parking allowed along the shoulder of Hwy 95. Also, make sure to lock your vehicles but don't set your alarms. The percussion from the fireworks tends to set car alarms off.
Tune in to FM 104.7 KKRV to listen to the show live. It will also be broadcast to the Rodeo Grounds and BMX lot. Tickets cost just $5 per person, per day. If you leave the area for any reason, you'll need to pay $5 to enter again. Please leave pets at home. Loud noises, bright lights, and crowds scare most animals. At Winter Blast, they'll be subject to all three of these things. Even pets on leashes will not be allowed on the premises. The SARA Dog Park will be closed during the entire event.
Outside food is not permitted in the fireworks area. However, feel free to bring a cooler with you. You're allowed to have outside food in the parking lot, ballfields or BMX track. This show is for professionals only. No consumer fireworks will be allowed anywhere on-site.
The show takes place come rain or shine but may be delayed if that happens. If a steady, heavy rains take place on Saturday night, that show might be canceled and postponed to a double show on Sunday evening. So, pay attention to the weather reports before you head out for the night. Have a blast at Winter Blast!
