Summertime means more time out on the lake here in Lake Havasu. The water offers a welcome respite from the triple-digit weather we experience this time of year. Our lake also provides an amazing race course for watercraft as well. That may be why organizers chose our waters for their 2023 FTWX International Cup Westcoast Qualifier.

Full Throttle Water X (FTWX) is putting on its very first FTWX International Cup in September. They want to find the very best water cross riders in the West to compete. So, naturally, Lake Havasu made the top of their list to host this high-adrenaline action.

They open up the racing to everyone. However, you must be an official Pro Watercross member to compete. If you aren't one, you can sign up online at the FTWX website Here. It's quick. It's easy. And it's open to everyone from Junior and novice to professional-level competitors.

Of course, these athletes all need a cheering section. So, come out to encourage these racers to the finish line. It costs you nothing to watch. But the applause may be all someone needs to push just a little bit harder. You'll see racers compete in several different divisions, including runabout, ski, sport, and (my personal favorite) freestyle.
