Another month. Another bass tournament. Yes, with our warm temperatures and sunny skies, fishing tournaments take place in Lake Havasu City almost year round. The American Bass/Ranger Boats South Team Classic Bass Tournament 2018 starts up its fall season in Havasu on September 21st and 22nd.

Based out of Seal Beach, CA, American Bass hosts several tournaments all around the country each year. Their team classics are the biggest in the country. At the American Bass/Ranger Boats South Team Classic Bass Tournament 2018, each two-man team will be allowed to "warm-up" with some restricted pre-fishing on the Wednesday and Thursday before the competition. Biggest fish wins. Weigh-ins take place during competition hours only.

You must be a member of American Bass in order to participate in any of their tournaments. Each two-man team must have at least one person aged 18 years or older. Any participant under 18 must present written consent from their parent or guardian in order to participate. Each team must compete together. Single anglers will not be counted towards the final tally. All teams must compete with the partner they qualified with. Switching partners negates any points earned at the weigh-in.

Membership in American Bass costs just $30 per year or $35 for a family membership. You can download a membership form when you visit www.americanbass.co/images/forms/form_membership.pdf. If you sign up as an official team with the family membership, remember: this is the two-person team that you will compete with in all future tournaments for the year. They allow husband/wife, boyfriend/girlfriend, parent/child, etc.

After they leave our shores, the American Bass/Ranger Boats South Team Classic Bass Tournament heads to Roosevelt Lake, WA in October. From there, they compete at Lake Shasta in November. Check out the 30 day tournament calendar here.
