Jet skis are fun in a normal setting. But when you get someone who knows what they're doing and likes to show off their skills...then, boy, howdy! You've got one heck of a show!
Actually, the US Freestyle PWC Championship includes competitors of all ages and genders. Come cheer on juniors, ladies, beginners, veterans, pros, and more as they cut their way through the waves and catch air. The main freestyle competition begins at 1:30 pm on Saturday, May 13th. Each rider performs a two-minute routine and will be allowed two attempts at their best tricks. Winners are chosen by the difficulty, variety, quantity, and execution of successfully completed feats.
Spectators can expect to see amazing maneuvers such as barrel rolls, back flips, submarines, and, of course, aerial acrobatics. But this competition saves its best for last. At 7:30 pm, the most talented of the competitors show off their skills for the coveted Best Trick of the Night title. So, you better stick around because you gotta see this to believe it!
You might want to arrive a bit early. Parking can be a bear. If you plan on playing out on the water before the competition begins, pay attention to the designated course. It will be clearly marked and should be well patrolled. You need to stay outside the area in order to keep yourself and the riders safe. Have fun and enjoy yourself.
