We love all things outdoors in Lake Havasu City. While the water offers plenty of enjoyment, there are tons of exciting adventures awaiting you on dry land. WORCS Off-Road Racing brings its first competition of 2023 to Lake Havasu this weekend. And you aren't going to want to miss any of the action!
- What: WORCS Off-Road Racing 2023
- Where: Crazy Horse Campgrounds (1534 Beachcomber Ave) - Maps & Directions
- When: March 3rd to 5th (ATV & SXS) & March 10th to 12th (Motorcycles)
This weekend, the ATV and SXS riders compete with one another at the Island Race Track. Next weekend, the motorcycles have their chance. WORCS prides itself on putting on a show that the whole family can enjoy. Come out Friday to watch the racers practice. This can be lots of fun. Racing starts early Saturday morning.
All skill levels, from beginner to expert, youth to adult, men, women, and children compete for prizes and bragging rights. If you are interested in throwing your hat in the ring, feel free to bring your ATV, SXS, and off-road motorcycle to the campgrounds on the day of the event. Sign up when you get there and race the same day. It's a great experience and really gets your heart pumping.
Anyone who competes must wear appropriate safety gear (helmet, goggles, gloves) as well as a long-sleeved shirt, long pants, and boots. Races can last anywhere from 30 minutes (youth) to two hours (pros). Racers can be as young as four (50cc) up to 60+ (super seniors). All racers under 18 years old must have their adult parent or guardian's signed release form to compete. Visit the WORCS website (https://worcsracing.com/2023-worcs-racing-event-schedule/) to find out which category you are eligible to compete in. You can compete in more than one category if you'd like, too. Good luck and have fun!
