The Desert Bar Opens for the 2022-2023 Season

The Desert Bar Parker

Last week, I talked about The Bunker Bar opening up here in Lake Havasu. But there is another bar located just outside of Parker that has developed one heck of a following over the last several years... and that is The Desert Bar... Also known as The Nellie E Saloon. They opened up for the 2022/2023 season last weekend. And I guarantee you, it is well worth the trip to get there!

The entire property is run off of solar power, but each weekend offers a new live musical act to keep folks entertained. Dogs are also welcome. However, please be responsible and pick up after your pooch. Maps & Directions

The bar stays open for business every Saturday and Sunday. They close during the week. So, don't bother trying to get a glimpse of what's out there at that time. Since it is located so far off the beaten path, cell service tends to be spotty. On Thanksgiving weekend, they open from Thursday through Sunday.  On President's Day weekend (February 18th & 19th), they host a Desert Dash 5K for charity. If you're interested, ask about it when you visit the bar. Maps & Directions

To get to The Desert Bar, you take Highway 95 to Cienega Springs. Then, travel approximately five miles until you reach this little oasis in the desert. Or, if you want to make it a little easier, simply plug 34.201701765700236,-114.14901632695313 into your GPS system. Before you head out, remember that there are no paved roads where you will be going. So, leave the expensive sports cars at home. Take your truck, ATV, sandrail, side-by-side, or other off-road vehicle instead.
